Avajan Foundation International Participation in the National Dialogue on Civic Engagement and Democratic Governance.

Avajan Foundation International, represented by our Communications Officer, took part in the quarterly dialogue convened by the Minister of Internal Affairs. This important forum brought together key stakeholders including leaders of non-governmental organizations (NGOs), civil society organizations (CSOs), government ministries, departments, agencies, and various human rights actors.

The dialogue focused on fostering constructive engagement between government institutions and civil society, with particular emphasis on the role of CSOs in Uganda’s electoral process. Discussions addressed prevailing challenges faced by CSOs in the lead-up to the 2026 general elections and explored opportunities for enhanced collaboration and civic participation.

Avajan Foundation’s active presence and contributions at the meeting reaffirm our strong commitment to civic engagement, inclusive dialogue, and the promotion of democratic governance in Uganda.
